Analyzing Songs from Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani

Bollywood music is real class, I just love Bollywood music and it never stops to amaze me as lame as it can be at times. So I saw Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani’s trailer teasing two songs which really gave me high hopes including one hoping to be best Holi song of the age. I was so much excited for songs to come out that when it first hit youtube I downloaded first two in HD version.
And it was disappointing.

The songs are sheer level of Bollywood crap written all over it. The lines don’t make any sense at all. I mean dialogues in Gunda had more depth that these songs.

 Here take an example.

Song 1 : Badtameez Dil

Meri baat, teri baat
Zyada baatein boori baat
Thaali mein katora leke
Aaloo bhat, Puri bhat

Simply wow. I don’t get a single word whatever song wanted to say.

Song 2: Balam Pichkari (I don’t know if this is a holi song or bedroom song)

Ho teri malmal ki kurti gulabi ho gayi (I thought Deepika is wearing Shorts)
Manchali chaal kaise nawaabi ho gayi, toh?

Balam pichkari jo tune mujhe maari
Toh seedhi saadi chhori sharaabi ho gayi
Haa Jeans pahen ke jo tune maara thumka
Toh lattoo padosan ki bhabhi ho gayi  (
Logic level, Bollywood. PS: Deepika is so bad at Thumka maring, atleast she could have watched Madhuri Dixit videos and take some lessons)

And where two were not enough come another bombshell “Dilliwali girlfriend” that sounds like another impressive work of inspired copied pasted.

Ghar waalon ko bhi bye-shye bol baal ke
Aaya dilliwali girlfriend chhod chhad ke
Tere liye hi toh signal tod taad ke
Aaya Dilli wali girlfriend chhod chhad ke

I mean dafaq? I have heard that artists and creative take stuff before working but whatever this guy who wrote up these lines was smoking something real bad or may be not smoking anything at all. Even a 5 year old aspiring poet who doesn’t know shit about words and rhymes can do better work. I can’t write any further but I really hope that Bollywood keeps providing us with such legendary stuff otherwise I’ll run out of things to write in my blog.
